Can anyone see what's inside the cover file?+
No. Hidden files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Without the correct password, the hidden content cannot be accessed.
Does the cover file still work normally?+
Yes. Photos still open, videos still play, documents still work, exactly as before.
Do I need to install anything?+
No. FileVeil runs entirely in your browser. You can also install it as an offline app on any device.
What is the difference between Pro and Pro+?+
Pro increases the file size limit to 500 MB and adds offline mode and batch hiding. Pro+ increases the limit to 2 GB and unlocks Stealth Mode, multi-layer hiding, metadata removal, and more.
Is my encryption key stored?+
No. Encryption keys are derived and used locally. FileVeil never receives, stores, or has access to your encryption keys.
